BYD has officiallyconfirmed that its humanoid robot project is under development. Stella Li, Executive Vice President of the group, recently stated publicly thatBYD is already developing humanoid robots, marking the first time the company has officially acknowledged this strategic layout at the executive level. Li pointed out that the core competitiveness of the robotics sector lies in the triple synergy of manufacturing, software,and hardware capabilities—advantages that BYD has already accumulated in its automotive business. She emphasized that automotive-related AI capabilitiesand robotics technology share "common origins," meaning BYD's technology migration path has already taken shape. Regarding commercialization, Li proposed a specific vision: once humanoid robots are ready to enter household scenarios, BYD can directlyleverage its existing dealership network for sales. This channel system currently covers multiple global markets with significant scale advantages. BYD also revealed that it will advance its robotics business through an open platform model—allowing both self-development and collaborationwith external enterprises. This strategy is highly consistent with its ecosystem approach in the new energy vehicle sector.
