BYD is currently the only automaker in the world to offer this "double liabilitycoverage." New users will enjoy 1 year of coverage upon taking delivery of their vehicles, while existingowners will also enjoy 1 year of coverage after upgrading to OTA 5.0. This means thatif an accident occurs, BYD will take full responsibility—including vehicle repairs, third-party property damage, personal injury,and more. Payout limit: No upper limit. If it is determined to be a fault of the smart drivingsystem, full compensation will be paid. This will not go through commercial insurance and will not affect your premium for the followingyear. Furthermore, it is completely free of charge without any extra cost. Of course, there are exclusions: failureto take over in time, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and unauthorized modifications are not covered by this safetynet.
