On June 3, 2026, BYD and Sinopec officially signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Beijing. The two giants have joined forces with the direct goalof comprehensively reconstructing China's new energy charging network. BYD has currently built over 6,100 supercharging stations and plans to expand this number to 20,000 by the end of2026. Meanwhile, Sinopec holds an even stronger hand—over 30,000 integratedenergy stations and more than 14,000 charging and battery-swapping stations nationwide. Thecore logic of this cooperation is simple: wherever Sinopec's gas station network extends, BYD's superchargingstations will follow. "Wherever there is a gas station, there is a supercharging station" is no longer just aslogan. One is the world's largest oil refining company, and the other is a leading player inChina's new energy vehicle market. Once their infrastructures are connected, they will form the largest new energy charging ecosystem in Chinaand even the world.
